Our New Seasonal Menu Launch

Introducing Our Winter Seasonal Menu

We're excited to announce the launch of our new seasonal menu at Southern Cross Suites Restaurant. Our culinary team has crafted a selection of dishes that celebrate the best of Victorian winter produce and local artisanal ingredients.

The new menu features warming comfort foods with a sophisticated twist, perfect for the cooler Melbourne months. Each dish has been carefully designed to showcase seasonal flavors while maintaining our commitment to sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients.

Menu Highlights

  • Gippsland Lamb Shoulder - Slow-cooked for 12 hours with native herbs and served with roasted winter vegetables
  • Yarra Valley Mushroom Risotto - Featuring a medley of seasonal fungi, truffle oil, and aged parmesan
  • Murray Cod - Pan-seared with a lemon myrtle crust, served with charred broccolini and potato puree
  • Winter Spiced Desserts - Including our signature sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce

Wine Pairings & Special Events

To complement our new menu, our sommelier has curated a selection of Victorian wines that pair perfectly with each dish. Guests can enjoy wine pairing recommendations or opt for our special five-course degustation menu with matched wines.

Throughout winter, we'll also be hosting special dining events including:

  • Chef's Table Experiences - An intimate dining experience with our head chef (limited to 8 guests per session)
  • Winemaker Dinners - Featuring guest appearances from local Victorian winemakers
  • Sunday Roast - A weekly tradition featuring premium roasted meats and all the trimmings
